Another cool day another extremely sad news. Legendary actor Justus Esiri and the father of Mavin artist Dr Sid has died. The Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), famous for his role as the Village Headmaster in popular 80's sitcom of the same name, passed on last night. Details of the cause of death yet unknown, but will update you guys as soon as I know something.

Justus Esiri has indeed earned his fame. He attended Urohobo College and later went to Germany to study engineering where he developed an interest for theater. Thus he began his acting career on stage in Germany. He was the only Nigerian male performing on stage in the years 1968/69. He also worked for voice of Nigeria VON, German Service as a translator. He was performing on stage in Germany when a delegation from Nigeria invited him to perform in Nigeria in a Government sponsored program, when he went to Nigeria, his homeland, he never went back to Europe.
Justus Esiri has featured in several Nollywood movies. May his gentle soul rest in peace...amen.
