Expectations are high for SONY to unleash its rumored newest system,PlayStation 4.
A leaked photo is said to display the latest controller, produced in DualShock-style and equipped with a touchpad. This touchpad features a blue light on its backside that may come as part of PlayStation 4. The supposed controller is in conjunction with Sony's PlayStation Move motion controllers, both being armed with the blue light. Sony has not confirmed any ramblings centered around its latest game system, but inquiries will soon be answered on February 20th at an event in New York. Topics will primarily be focused on upcoming prospects for the PlayStation. Some reports have suggested PlayStation 4 will not be unveiled until next year, but others implied the highly anticipated system may be presented at the annual Electronics Entertainment Expo show held in June. For those who may be unfamiliar, this expo is focused around video game creators and console manufacturers exhibiting their current merchandise.
Sony is sure to release a new gaming system with competition weighing on the company's back sometime this year. One competitor, Microsoft, is allegedly presenting its next gaming system soon with the Xbox 720. Even so, the PS3 topped sales through this past December, beating Microsoft Xbox 360 with over 77 million systems sold. The PS3 was also released a year before the the Xbox 360 hit the market, making the PS3 a more popular system.
